“That was a really fun and satisfying first endurance racing experience for me this weekend.
“The team were tremendous and I felt immediately at home within the garage, the atmosphere was really motivating and I could tell they were a top team straight away.
“Thomas (Laurent) did a great job and gave me the car with a healthy lead, unfortunately we did lose a lot of time in the pit stop, so we dropped back.
“I jumped straight into the car with new tyres and felt good. I pushed hard, then caught and passed the leader and felt comfortable from there. It went pretty quickly for something that is almost triple the length of any race I have done before!
“It was a really good team victory and we had to work for it but ultimately we ran out comfortable winners in the end.
“I am already looking forward to Fuji and fighting for another win and then we can look at mounting a title challenge which is our overall aim and objective.”
