“It’s nice to get a couple of strong results, especially with fourth place in race two.
“I went heavy on the pre-load at the start of race two in order to give myself a chance of making up some positions. It was a bit of a risk but it paid off and I was able to get alongside David (Beckmann) at Tarzan and took him around the outside. It was a really satisfying move.
“I was able to put in some good laps and open up a gap. At the end there was a bit of a struggle with the rears (tyres) but I managed it ok. It was the best result I could get, so I’m really happy to achieve the maximum possible.
“Race one was a typically frustrating Zandvoort race where, as usual, overtaking was non-existent. I didn’t get the best start and was able to take a look at (Jehan) Daruvala for an opening but it didn’t come off. After that it was just a case of getting home for the final point.”
“I was really happy with race three and taking seventh position but it was a little frustrating being stuck behind Jake Hughes and Pedro Piquet. We had the better pace than them and I was always within a second of Pedro but it is near to impossible to make a clean move.
“Overall I was happy with the way the weekend went. We got good points and achieved the maximum we could from where we started on the grid.”
