“We had some early brake issues in practice at Red Bull Ring last weekend which didn’t set us up well for qualifying. But I put a reasonable lap in what was a very close session even by F3 standards. I think if we had have found another 0.1s we would have been fourth or fifth.
“The race was going well and I was holding eighth position but was getting held up by Mazepin and Beckmann in front of him. Our pace was quite strong and I made the decision to go for the gap on the inside but we touched, which was a shame.
“In race two we decided to take a gamble of running a more low-downforce set-up because we were down in 14th position. It didn’t work out for us and the pace wasn’t there so we were limited.
“The final race in Austria was another frustrating one as we seemed to lack a lot in a straight-line. I had a good start but was susceptible on the long straight so we have to look at that and understand why before Hockenehim.
“All in all it was a frustrating weekend obviously, but I am looking forward to Hockenheim where I hope we can finish off the season on a high and achieve the best we can in the standings.”
